Effective date: September 29, 2026
At a glance. Limin is for university students aged 17 and up, plus local businesses we invite. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users: break the community rules and we'll remove the content and may ban the account. Tokens can't be bought and have no cash value. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
1. Agreeing to these terms
THALLOS PLENUM INC, a Delaware corporation (“Limin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the Limin mobile app (the “App”), this website, and related services (together, the “Service”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and us about how you can use the Service.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, including the community rules in Section 3. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.
2. Who can use Limin
- Students at supported schools. You need a university email address at a campus Limin supports, and you need to be a current student, faculty or staff member there. We may ask you to verify this again.
- Age. You must be at least 17 years old.
- One person, one account. Your account is personal. Don't share it, sell it, or let someone else use it, and don't make more than one account. Keep your password safe and tell us at admin@liminapp.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- Accurate information. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't use a name or username that impersonates a real person, club, business, or school.
- Clubs and businesses. A club gets a club page run by up to two student officers, who keep their own student accounts; officers can change who runs the club once every 30 days. Local businesses join by invitation. Anyone who runs a club page or a business account confirms they're allowed to act for that organization, and the organization is bound by these Terms too. We verify clubs and businesses and can remove a club page or business account at any time.
You can't use Limin if we've previously banned you, or if the law doesn't allow you to.
3. Community rules
Limin only works if everyone feels welcome, on the app and on campus. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. This applies to everything you post or send in Limin, including your profile, username, bio, events, place suggestions, and messages in session chats, and to how you treat people you meet through Limin.
Don't:
- Harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, or stalk anyone, or encourage others to.
- Post hate speech, or attack anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
- Post sexual content or nudity, send unwanted sexual messages, or share any sexual content involving minors (we report it to the authorities).
- Post violent, graphic, or shocking content, or promote self-harm, terrorism, or violent extremism.
- Share anyone's private information, such as their address, phone number, class schedule, or where they are, without their permission.
- Use Limin to follow, track, or show up uninvited on someone, including through co-op quests, events, or anything you learn from their Passport.
- Promote illegal activity, including selling drugs, weapons, or alcohol to anyone underage.
- Spam, scam, advertise without our permission, or ask people for money, passwords, or personal information.
- Impersonate another person, a club, a business, a school, or Limin staff.
- Post anything you don't have the right to share, such as someone else's copyrighted work.
Play fair, too. Don't:
- Fake your location (for example with GPS spoofing apps), check in for someone else, or share check-in codes.
- Use more than one account, bots, scripts, or modified versions of the App.
- Farm tokens by teaming up to game co-op quests, events, auctions, or referral rewards, or by creating fake events.
- Exploit bugs. If you find one, tell us instead. We appreciate it.
- Try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, overload or disrupt the Service, or scrape or copy data from it.
4. Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it
- Report a person by opening their profile and tapping Report, or report an event from its event card. Reports go to our moderation team, and safety reports go to the front of the queue. We aim to review every report within 24 hours. For anything urgent, email admin@liminapp.com.
- Block anyone from their profile. Blocked users can't see or interact with you. You can see and unblock them any time in Social → Friends.
- If you're in danger, call 911 or your campus police first. Limin is not an emergency service.
When content or behavior breaks these Terms, we may remove the content, warn you, limit features (such as hosting events or joining co-op quests), lower your trust score, take back tokens or rewards earned by breaking the rules, suspend your account, or ban you permanently. We decide what's appropriate based on how serious the problem is, and for serious violations we can act without warning. A banned email address can't create a new account. If you think we got it wrong, email us and we'll take another look.
5. Your content
You own what you post on Limin. To run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share your content with the people it's meant for (for example, your profile with students on your campus, or a chat message with the people in that session), and to adapt it as needed to show it in the App. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for the reasons explained in our Privacy Policy, or where others have already seen or reshared it.
You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We don't review everything before it appears, but we may remove anything that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably believe puts people at risk. Session chats disappear when the session ends.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.
6. Staying safe in the real world
Limin sends you to real places and helps you meet real people. You're responsible for your own safety and choices while you play.
- Follow the law and campus rules. Don't trespass, go into closed or restricted areas, or break building, library, or residence hall rules to finish a quest. A quest never gives you permission to be somewhere.
- Pay attention. Don't use Limin while driving or cycling, and watch where you're walking.
- Meeting people. Co-op quests, random match, and events can put you in person with students you don't know. We check that each account has a university email, but we don't run background checks. Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and leave if anything feels off. Then report it.
- Places change. Hours, locations, and details for quest spots, events, and deals can be wrong or out of date. Check before you go.
We aren't responsible for what users do off the App, or for injuries, losses, or disputes that happen while you're out playing, except where the law says we can't exclude that responsibility.
7. Events
Anyone can host a campus event on Limin. If you host one, you're responsible for it: it has to follow the law, these Terms, and your university's policies, and the details you post must be accurate. Limin isn't the organizer of events hosted by users, clubs, or businesses, and doesn't supervise them. We may remove any event.
8. Tokens, rewards, and prize auctions
8.1 Tokens
- You earn tokens by playing: completing quests, attending and hosting events, keeping streaks, and inviting friends. Tokens can't be bought.
- Tokens have no cash value. They aren't money or property. You can't sell them, transfer them to another account, or exchange them for cash, and we never redeem them for cash.
- We may correct token balances that are wrong because of a bug, reverse tokens earned by breaking these Terms, and change how tokens are earned or spent. Tokens end when your account is deleted or banned.
8.2 Prize auctions
- Limin runs prize auctions where you bid tokens on real prizes. No purchase is necessary to take part, since tokens only come from playing.
- The highest valid bid when an auction closes wins. Tokens from losing bids are returned. If you win, you get a voucher in your Passport, and we'll tell you how to collect the prize.
- Prizes come from Limin or its partners, can't be exchanged for cash, and can't be transferred unless we agree. If a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute one of similar value. Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize.
- We may cancel or change an auction, or disqualify a bid or winner, if we see cheating, a technical problem, or anything else that makes it unfair. Auctions are void where prohibited by law.
- Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, any Limin prize auction.
8.3 Leaderboards, streaks, and titles
Leaderboards, streaks, the monthly Royalty crown, titles, and achievements are part of the game. We may reset them, fix errors, or remove standings earned by breaking these Terms.
9. Deals from local businesses and club quests
Local businesses can offer deals that students redeem in Limin. Each deal is offered by that business, which is responsible for honoring it and for its products and services. Limin isn't a party to what you buy there. Businesses that post deals agree to honor them as described, to follow the law, and to use the student information they see (your name and username) only to confirm a redemption. We review every deal before students see it, and we decide which students receive each one.
Clubs can post club quests, such as a meeting or game night, that students check in to for tokens. Club officers are responsible for their club's quests and must use the student information they see (your name and username) only to confirm check-ins. We review club quests before students see them.
10. Our Service
- License to use the App. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use, under these Terms.
- What's ours stays ours. The Limin name, logo, lemon, artwork, pixel themes, quest content, and software belong to us or our licensors. Don't copy, modify, sell, or reverse engineer them, except where the law allows.
- Third-party content. The campus map uses data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Links and content from other services are provided by them, and their own terms apply.
- Changes. Limin is growing, so features, quests, and campuses will change. We may add, change, or remove parts of the Service, and we may stop offering it.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Limin and delete your account at any time: Social → My Passport → Account settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we're required to by law, or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 5 (the license ends as described), 8.1 (no cash value), and 12 through 16 continue to apply after your account ends.
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Limin fun, safe, and running, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that location checks will always be accurate, or that content posted by users, clubs, or businesses is accurate or appropriate.
13. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Limin and its officers, employees, and partners won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or the conduct of other users. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
14. Your responsibility to us
If you break these Terms or the law while using Limin and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
15. Disputes
If you have a problem with Limin, email us at admin@liminapp.com first. Most issues can be fixed quickly that way. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
16. The App Store
If you downloaded Limin from Apple's App Store, you also agree that:
- These Terms are between you and Limin only, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its content.
- Your license to use the App is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App, to the extent the law allows.
- Limin, not Apple, is responsible for handling any claims about the App, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property.
- You confirm that you aren't in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or listed as a “terrorist supporting” country, and aren't on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and can enforce them against you.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
